PHACE
Public Health Associations Collaborative Efforts

PHACE, the Public Health Associations’ Collaborative Effort, provides a forum wherein all public health disciplines are equally represented, via the leadership of the recognized New Jersey public health associations, to foster a single voice and face for the advancement of public health in New Jersey.  The state’s seven recognized professional public health associations have each signed a memorandum of agreement and have dedicated themselves toward furthering this mission, as well as PHACE’s objectives.

PHACE’s five recognized goals - each with a set of specific objectives - include the following:

1. Develop public health collaborations

2. Identify and develop consensus concerning public health issues

3. Promote public health careers and workforce development

4. Identify, leverage and augment new and existing resources

5. Promote excellence in the practice of public health

PHACE is comprised of representatives from the following public health  associations:

New Jersey Health Officers Association

New Jersey Association of County Health Officers

New Jersey Public Health Association

New Jersey Environmental Health Association

New Jersey Association of Public Health Nurse Administrators

New Jersey Society for Public Health Education

New Jersey Local Boards of Health Association
