The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is a bistate public agency responsible for

We currently have an opening for a Senior Industrial Hygienist/Environmental Health Specialist
within our Operations Services Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a seasoned and experienced Industrial Hygienist/Environmental Health Specialist, you will
be responsible for:
• Evaluating and monitoring occupational and environmental health conditions at Port Authority facilities.
• Making recommendations for changes in the work environment/procedures based on interpretations and principles of professional practice.
• Identifying and characterizing potential chemical, biological, and physical hazards.
• Establishing controls using instruments, reference information, and experience.
• Reviewing and interpreting applicable environmental and occupational health regulations.
• Staying current on existing and proposed health and safety regulations while providing recommendations for changes to current policies based on new or revised regulations.
• Performing Industrial Hygiene field measurements and reviewing and interpreting sampling results.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Health related field.
• Must possess a current valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrated experience in industrial hygiene/environmental health including OSHA Environmental and Public Health regulations, investigation and analysis, and industrial hygiene monitoring techniques.

for an Environmental Field Consultant. The ideal candidate will live in
northern/central New Jersey and will routinely travel to our client

Applicants should have at least a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field
